Tradicional grape varietals from the Douro region, and subsequently a careful selection is made from the grape varietals: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca from old vines with better exposure of our vineyards.
After a manual harvesting of the grape bunches in individual boxes of 25 kg, these were gently destalked and crushed. Afterwards the must is placed into stainless steel vats where it ferments at a controlled temperature (26ºC - 28ºC). Afterwards a 12 months phase followed inside half barrels made of French oak.
Intense ruby colour, it is a wine with a great complexity, elegance and aromatic intensity, in which protrude floral notes, black berries and spices, wrapped by the excellent wood notes in which it matured. In the mouth the wine is hot, bulky and complex, with a balanced acidity that is supported by firm and ripe tannins that give it a very intense and persistent ending.
Should be served chilled between 16ºC and 18ºC.
